BIRLA NGK INSULATORS PRIVATE LTD. PROFILE

Birla NGK Insulators Private Ltd., was established in 1967 bearing the name of Jaya Shree Insulators , commenced production in its plant in Rishra with an annual capacity of 2000 tonnes, and on 1981 another plant was built in Halol with an annual capacity of 6000 tonnes. The annual production has progressively increased to its present capacity of 42,000 tonnes. Disc insulators having Electromechanical strength as high as 210 kN, Solid core Line Post insulators upto 66 kV and 210 kN HVDC Discs, are amongst others which are Suspension Insulators, Pin, Post & Low voltage Insulators, Surge Arrestors and Air Break Switches , Jaya Shree Insulators then entered into a JOINT VENTURE partnership with NGK Insulators, Japan which augmented the birth of BNIPL on 6th February 2003.

 Birla NGK Insulators, Rishra manufactures electro porcelain insulators by the Wet Process . The range of insulators covers overhead transmission and distribution lines, sub-stations and switching stations upto 400 kV, railway traction and overhead low-tension distribution lines. The Company throughout its growth has prudently followed the policy of technical collaboration with notable foreign insulator manufacturers; Pragoinvest of Czechoslovakia, Cermoconsult Langenthal of Switzerland and Doulton Insulators of U.K , and NGK INSULATORS of JAPAN after jointing with it.

 To enhance its Service Quality Excellence and in tune with the Global market requirements, BNIPL has established & maintained certification of Quality Management System - ISO 9001: 2000 and Environmental Management System - ISO 14001: 1996 by BSI India Pvt. Ltd. and Social Accountability System - SA 8000 : 1997 by DNV India.
